El Chavo Mango and Habanero

Weird. It took me all evening to drink. Lots of puckering going on.

I was hoping for spicy. El Chavo did not let me down. Not spicy in comparison to food, but for a drink, yes.

Clear straw colored pour with moderate carbonation. Strong aroma of habanero pepper. Taste is very vegetal with a moderate spice kick/heat. Has a nice light apple flavor in the finish that provides a little cooling.

Boy that's a weird one. You can't quite figure out what's going on until everything burns a little at the end.

I like the flavor except for the spicyness. Spicy comes more as an after taste

An interesting flavor. I was worried this might come off too spicy for me as my stomach can be sensitive sometimes but the heat is just in the flavor. No pain with this, just a nice spice flavor on the tongue.

Spicy hit after the sip. Mango richness after the apple. Sweet enough to offset the habanero, but not syrupy. Crisp for a hot day. Great picnic/bbq companion.

This cider has a light straw/golden, clear pour with notes of apple, mango, and habanero on the nose. It is like no cider I’ve tasted before. It starts with a mild peach or mango flavor that dissipates to nothing in the mid notes then comes back with some heat and sweet apple flavors. It is quite nice and would go well with smoked bbq meats. The heat is more than I expected based on other hot pepper ciders I’ve had but not overwhelming.

One of my favorite ciders. Very light body and light fruit flavors with a real kick and spice that lingers.

The habanero is not too overpowering, like some peppered ciders. The mango brings the sweet. If you let the cider warm to room temperature, the spiciness is much higher.
