Comes in a 750 ml champagne bottle, but with a crown cork cap. Bottle conditioned to give a light sparkle. As might be expected, there is some sediment in the bottle.
Pale, sulphurous yellow in colour, and with an aroma which combines a pear drop sweetness with an almost fishy, ammoniacal edge.
The flavour is crisp and dry, and of slightly under-ripe pear, developing a funky aftertaste, with a little young oak.
Oliver's always surprise with the diversity of flavours, and this is no exception. Not really my style of perry, but well-made and presented.
