2003 Bottle Conditioned

Rich amber colour, heavy fizz and clear. Bottle fermented. Fruity aroma with dried fruit. Soft mouthfeel, dry and astringent.

Comes in a 750ml champagne bottle. Rich copper colour, with an aged oak aroma. Soft, metallic flavour, with soft tannins and light oak aftertaste, drying on the palate. Would have been 5 star if it was not so gassy, but the flavour outweighs that to a large extent. The long ageing shows, smoothing the edges and revealing the subtleties.

Tannins and funk
