We traveled with a small, professional group. A couple of our client’s private guard, who seemed capable enough, plus our group of five. We looked heavy enough to scare off casual highwaymen, but were light enough to dodge any major encounters. The wagons were the weak point, of course, but that was why they hired us. Most travelers don't expect problems, but most have heard horror stories, so it's nice to have insurance.
This cider is the ease and contentment of the road.
