Beaupré's Cidre houblonnée comes in a beautiful jug-type bottle and presents itself well in the glass with some nice coloration and effervescence, but that's about as far as it goes. The apple aromas and taste are lacking in punch and it is missing an overall quality that highlights each sip. Nothing stands out and, aside from the strong carbonation, the lightness of the flavors (hops included) prevents what aspires to be a refreshing summer cider from being just that.
