The pour is a slightly hazy gold with medium effervescence. The aroma is apple juice, not just apple. The taste is dry apple and tart. It is a short or medium finish that is mostly acidic. It doesn’t have much mouthfeel and what is does have is mostly from the carbonation. My guess is that they fermented dry and back-sweetened with a little apple juice concentrate, which work really well. You get this sweet apple juice aroma but this dry and tart flavor. I think they used dessert apples as i think the tannins are light. Overall, I enjoyed it.

Clear golden pour with a lot of carbonation that leaves a small white head that is slow to fade. Light to moderate apple aroma with some must. Moderate tart apple taste with bright acidity. Can taste some crips apple and green apple skin. Light bodied.

A rather average cider made by a brewery in the midwest. Made from dessert apples, sweetened with concentrate. Notes of watered down unsweetened apple juice, apple pomace, yeast, and orange.  I think I would have liked it a bit sweeter, because as-is it was lacking a bit on flavor. However, that is pretty typical for a cider from dessert apple varieties, and why they are very commonly flavored. This reminded me of a low quality drier less carbonated French cider (due to the apple and yeast forward flavor).
