Dark golden and clear. The festival programme describes it as "Bitter-sweet, with a subtle Bourbon whisky finish. A perfect blend of cider apple varieties, hand-pressed, and fermented in oak whisky barrels". I have to balk at the word subtle, it has such an overpowering whisky taste that no apple comes through at all. I appreciate a hint of whisky, honey, or whatever, but with this you may as well buy a bottle of whisky and dilute it. An interesting experience but I wouldn't be tempted to have another. Had at Kidderminster Beer and Cider Festival.
