The aroma - raisins, bread, rust, light honey and oak.
This cider packs a punch at 8.2%ABV, but doesn’t taste that strong - which makes this cider so deceptive!
The taste is pretty good. It’s ripe which an edge is crisp bite which soon mellows in the mouth like a flowing river. The apple swell engulfs the taste buds and palate. The deep apple flavour hits and stays with medium to full body and a decent medium length.
The colour is light bronze and the fizz is very subtle. It looks great in the glass.
The cider is on the drier side of medium with a sweet kick back that’s welcome and interesting as it’s bitter to a point with mild tannins and satisfying.
If the taste was a bit more complex this might’ve got a 5/5 but it’s just lacking that little something, that bit of complexity that would get it over the line.
Solid entry consider they make this single harvest very year and some years are better than others. 4/5.
