Comes in a 750 ml champagne bottle.
Very dark, blood red, which appears black in the glass, with a faint aroma of fresh cherries.
Intense, slightly sour, cherry flavour, with an underlying woody, perry flavour, which comes through in the finish.
Interesting and unusual product, utilising two of the principal fruits of this part of Denmark. More like a fruit wine than a normal perry, particularly in regard to the high ABV, and the cherry flavour is extraordinary for that intensity. This would be suitable as a dessert wine with a fruit or berry pie, or, perhaps, with a strong, gamey stew.
