Very light to start, then the sweetness from the whisky barrel. May get a little sickly after awhile. Refreshing, but too light for my taste. Not much flavor.
Somehow this is exactly the cider you would expect from a meadery. Just like winery ciders taste one way and brewery ciders taste another, this is a sweet honey flavored one, with a smokey whiskey over the top.
