Nothing but apples in this iced cider. Ricker Hill Farms leaves the apples on the tree to freeze like a true ice wine. I wasn’t sure if I liked this on my first drink as it is sweet like an ice wine but there are bitter, tannic notes that are evident. The more after a few tastes I liked it more. The flavors of the apple are strong on the palate and up front on the nose. It is a thick, sweet cider but not cloying. With the higher alcohol content you feel warm as it goes down. My wife and I shared a bottle. Don’t think I could drink a whole 375 ml bottle in one sitting and Rickers believes that as well since the bottle has a resealable cap.
