It’s decent enough, nothing in terms of aroma but this cider does make up for it in other areas.
In terms of colour it’s a light golden bronze and it’s also light on fizz, bordering on being still.
The taste is well-rounded, medium in body and easy to drink. It says ‘dry’ on the front label (which is why I bought it) but then states it’s ‘medium dry’ on the back label. To me, it’s a medium as it’s a nice balance of both. The sweetness is a blend of feeling very natural and manufactured at the same time. It has a short to medium length, smooth on the tongue with a lingering, light aftertaste that’s quite zesty and full of citrus hints.
I’ve given it 3/5, but it was so close to a 4/5 purely based on its flavour just not quite being complex enough to notch it up.
Overall, this cider is easy to drink - and at 4.5%ABV you could have another, but for me, I’d rather move on and try another as Devon has a lot more to give and offer.
