Dark golden colour, with an aroma of wood and farmyard funk. Some fine suspended sediment.
Dry, sour fruit flavour, with a somewhat oily mouth feel. Becomes astringent in the aftertaste, with a sharp, herbal finish.
Old school, still scrumpy, in the Northern style. This will not be to everyone's taste, and was a little sour for mine. Perhaps best drunk with a strong, fatty cheese.
