I confronted Evie, and she came clean. Yes, she'd approached her Thieves Guild contacts for work, and they'd given her this "easy escort job". She was pretty upset about Jaxon though, as they were pretty close, and she wanted answers as much as I did. So I leaned on the client. I'd have to say that intimidation isn't my favourite part of the job, my physical presence is usually enough, but it is something that I'm skilled at. This cider is a begrudging acceptance of how things are, and not how one would like them to be.
