I was moving at incredible speed, but it was still all I could do to keep out of reach of the umber hulk's razor claws. I was avoiding eye contact, strafing around the monster, swiping ineffectually at its heavily armored hide. I forced it to turn, releasing Jaxon from its gaze, and soon he was pelting it with arrows. Only the occasional arrow found its mark, as only a few of my strikes did any noticeable damage, but it was enough to force the creature into retreat.
