Sam's Poundhouse Dry

Purchased at North Devon Show.

Light golden, with a woody, fruit aroma. Dry, crisp fruit flavour. Drinkable, but totally unremarkable, with no flavour development.

Out of hundred of cider ticks over decades, impossible to name a favourite, but Sams dry is the one I've most enjoyed every year since the late 1990's. Possibly enhanced by usually being imbibed on draught in my most beloved watering hole: Ye Olde Cider Bar, Newton Abbot.
