The Original

The nose on this “semi-dry” cider leads you in the wrong direction. The taste is bitter and bland, slightly bruised apple in the mid palette but the bitterness counters that immediately. Not my cup of tea, but I could see how it is a decent intro cider for beer enthusiasts.

Bitter & acidic appley bite, despite a sweet apple-honey scent. Very beer-like, especially to start. I find the finish on the longer side, drawing out the bitterness. Uses both pear & apple concentrates. Unfortunately I am quite sensitive to bitterness and found it overwhelming to my palate, and wasn't able to perceive any other discernible flavors. I'm definitely not a fan. I even gave it a second try as the first bottle I got a couple years ago literally seemed bad (re-fermented). I recommend this cider for the beer fan who is interested in getting into ciders but doesn't want to stray too far or have an overly sweet cider. 190 calories, 16 grams carbs, & 10 grams sugar per 12 oz (I mostly post this as apparently they changed the recipe lately, making it sweeter, and I'm not sure which version I tried)

Kinda bitter but I'm liking it. Semi dry, not sweet, would go well with a meal. Not that I'm hungry or anything...:-)

A bit of a weird combination of sour and sweet, kind of like a sweet tart. It's a bit thin too.

Tried last night. 3.25 out of 5. Sweeter than I usually like, and fairly one dimensional. But, no off-flavours.

It smells very "sweet" but doesn't have a clear apple note. Almost syrupy. I couldn't drink too much of this one at one time due to the overall sweet inflection.

Soft and pleasant
