Comes in a 750 ml bottle. This is a wild-fermented cider, to which barley malt, wheat, hops, and yeast is then added for a second fermentation.
Cloudy, light caramel colour, with a sweet aroma of hops and malt.
Tangy apple and fruity hops dominate the initial flavour, with malt and wheat, and the bitter edge of the hops, coming through in the aftertaste. The bitterness intensifies in the finish.
This really does taste like a cross between a cider and an amber ale, and the cider qualities are still evident within the wider flavour. This would go very well with a smoked cheddar or Lancashire.
