AOP Pays d'Auge Cidre

A really interesting cider. Barely had I uncorked it, than it came bubbling out of the bottle at me. It has a kind of funky taste that reminds me of smoked mozzarella, but the fizz clears the funk away and makes you want to have some more. I agree, there is almost a leather taste in the middle. It's neither sour nor sweet- I wonder what food I could enjoy with this?

An awesome French cidre. Notes of bittersweet apple pomace and juice, orange, caramel, leather, earth, and must. Very similar to their Cidre Fermier Brut (which is slightly less expensive); possibly a bit smoother and less bitter.
