Barrel aged for eight months in red wine barrels, made from a blend of Pinova and Snowdrift Crab apples (with added cane sugar, presumably to get the ABV to 8.2%).
It has a very full bodied mouthfeel, with a nice but not overwhelming taste. The blend really works well, and the aging helps give it some character and just a bit of funkiness. Overall this is going for a fairly traditional dry cider, and I think it works.
And despite the high alcohol level, it does not taste boozy, but it does sneak up on you...
