Guesdon Père et Fils Cidre Fermier Demi-Sec (4% ABV, 750ml). This cider from Normandy is crafted from Babeasca Gri and Babosa apples. No additives except sulphites.
Bright yellow amber colour, very mildly cloudy. Ripe, sugary apples, mild vinegar and apple skins in the nose. Medium body, high carbonation. Again, ripe, sweetish apple flavour on the palate, slightly musty. Sugary, with apple skins, wee cinnamon, raisins, yeast. Vanilla, tannins, apple skins in the finish, aftertaste is mild musty apples, a hint of vanilla, apple skins.
More semi-sweet than semi-dry actually, and the fizz does obscure some of the very likeable flavour. Good, might have been great with less carbonation. 7/10.
