Cooney's Irish Cider (4.5%, 500ml). Made from Dabinet, Michelin, Ashton Bitter, Yarlington Mill and Gilly Bittersweet apples, plus sugar, and malic acid. No water added. Deep clear golden colour, and even a bit of a head for a little while. Aroma of mildly tart apples, apple cores, and lemon zest. Light body, medium carbonation, a tad watery. Medium-dry, slightly sour apples, apple skins, tannins on the palate, with lemony notes toward the finish. Stronger tannins in the medium bitter finish, aftertaste is apple skins and a wee bit of lemon. I read a review that likened this cider to Magners. It is not like that at all. But neither is it super-impressive. More on the sour-ish side if you like that. It is being let down by the light body a bit. Okay. 6.5/10.

a medium bodied cider quite similar to that of "Magners" sweet and smooth with no unpleasent bitterness or acidity, crafted with Dabinet, michelin & ashton bitter apples
