The first thing that hits you is the funky aroma, and that aroma lingers. Get past that, and the perry itself doesn’t taste quite so funky.
This is oak aged in rum barrels, which along with the heavy carbonation nearly overpowers the pear. It is pretty dry, and I think an interesting example of what you can do with dessert pears.
