Not a lot under the nose but this is a great tasting sweet cider.
It took gold at the Taste of the West South West England gold award 2021.
This cider is fresh and crisp with a strong brown sugary zip on first taste. It doesn’t have the longest length, in fact it’s quite short, but it’s sweet and punchy mellow on the palate.
The colour (like the dry version from this cidery) is golden bronze with very light carbonation, it’s almost bordering on being still. It’s light in body and has an apple peel kick
This cider doesn’t have the most complex of tastes and is a tad watery on the back end. It is sweet and pleasant though - there’s just not that much going on to notch up the score.
At 4.8%ABV you could have a go on this cider all night - and I could easily see myself doing that - but I’d have to ask salty snacks in order to compliment the light apple taste that this cider provides.
Overall I preferred the dry cider from Four Elms but it’s a great tasting sweet cider. 4/5.
