I think this is a different formulation than the earlier ‘wedding’ huckleberry cider- it’s just Huckleberry cider on current website and it’s a lot better than it’s earlier incarnation, imho. It’s the same beautiful pink-red colour but this one is semi dry, smooth and tart -with more fruit flavor than it’s predecessor.

Rather dry, the berry flavor comes off as flat.

I usually love berry ciders but this one tastes flat. Not much fruit flavour and quite dry. I'd have it with fruit pie perhaps because the pie would fill in the flavors missing from the cider.

I'd drink it if someone bought me a pint, but it's not outstanding. Although its bubbly around the rim, it tastes still.

I love berry ciders but this one seems simple and a bit too dry for me. Not very aromatic or complex.

This is the first cider I’ve tried from Greenwood. They are about a year old and currently only sell kegs of their small batch ciders. In the Seattle area, their customers include Capitol Cider, the Schilling Cider House, and Chuck’s Hop Shop. This cider was primarily huckleberry, but also included blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries (the “wedding” part), and made from piñata, golden delicious, fuji, braeburn, granny smith, and golden russet apples. It had an orange-pink hue, which was interesting for what I thought was only a huckleberry cider. I picked up much more citrus (grapefruit?) than berry in it. Ryan from Greenwood thought I may have been picking up some of the tartness of the raspberries or acidity of the heirloom golden russet apples in detecting citrus notes. Still, this one was a bit too unique for me. I’m definitely game to try other ciders from them though!
