Kerné Delice de Cidre (3% ABV, 750ml) is the sweet "party" cider made by the Ciderie Familiale in Brittany. Still, no additives other than sulphite, no sugar, and made from 100% fresh apples. It is the lowest-ABV cider from the Kerné range.
The colour is a clear, deep gold, no head. (Over)ripe, sweet yellow apples flavour, with mild vinegar and lemon. Medium body, soft carbonation. And, boy, this one opens to very sweet, sugary yellow apples on the palate, but a strong tangy/vinegary note provides balance immediately thereafter. The finish is sweetish apple vinegar indeed, with very mild tannins, and the aftertaste has sweet and sour apples, too.
Not a complex drink, with high levels of sweetness AND acidity, almost no bitterness, and intense fruit taste. Shouldn't warm up too much (the cidery recommends a drinking temperature of 8-10 °C, I prefer to drink it colder). 7/10.
