Made from a mix of garden apples and wild apples from the Malardalen region of Sweden, characterised by its heavy, fertile clay (lera) soils, and aged in French oak barrels for 10 months. Comes in a 750 ml flip-top bottle. Rich copper colour, with an aroma of freshly-cut spruce and a little leather. Resiny fruit flavour, with green apple tones, and lots of skin, becoming tannic in the aftertaste, with oak, tobacco, and a little vanilla, and more resin and sap in the finish. Quite complex, with some unusual flavours. Very drinkable, despite the resinous character, and this would go well with a strong Lancashire or a nutty, mature Cheddar, or dishes like gratin dauphinoise.
