Organic Cidre

Clear dark copper colored pour. Moderately cloudy with sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Heavy carbonation. Strong funky nose. Bold acidic apple taste that has lots of wild apple and orchard notes along with a hint of orange. Moderate tartness and tannins. Light to medium bodied. Semi-sweet.

Very carbonated, popped like a champagne cork. Very fruity taste, slightly sweet with a bit of a funk that creeps in at the end. Not exactly a stereotypical Normandy region cidre but rather one that seems to take an influence from their southern neighbors and applies that to Norman traditions.

The pour is a slightly hazy gold with high levels of carbonation. The aroma is phenolic apples. The taste is semi sweet and slightly tart apple. The mouthfeel is heavy. You can almost chew it and slightly astringent. The finish is slightly acidic and phenolic. I like it.

Nice French cider Apple flavors with low carbonation but way too sweet for me

750ml bottle bought for $10.99. Notes of bittersweet apples, apple pomace, orange, floral, and must. This had some mild funk I don't remember from the time I tried it on tap (and which is uncharacteristic compared to the other Brittany France ciders I've tried, vs. Normandy France ciders, although both are traditionally wild yeast fermented). Still, I quite enjoyed it, although I think I slightly prefer Celt and Dan Armor.
