Original Yorkshire Cider

Golden in colour, with an aroma that combines a savoury biscuit with old straw. The label says "medium dry", but this is bone dry to my palate. The ripe apple is almost drowned out by the rich tannins, suggesting this has been long-aged in oak. I love the tannic ciders, but this was almost too much for me (only almost, mind), and it's drier than a Yorkshireman's wallet at a rainy fair! Enjoyable, but strictly one a night.
