Pear Cider

Not one of my favourites. Tasted like pear drops rather than pears.

Sweet. Like more perries. If you love a sweet perry, you’ll love this. Smells pleasant enough under the nose. Very clear, almost as clear as water and at 4.5%ABV is very drinkable. It has a nice fruit aroma and the taste is what you’d expect from a mass-produced perry. It tastes of syrup, pear and sugar. It’s very easy drinking and you could blast through a few of these on a hot summer’s day. Length? Nothing to write home about - it does linger but it’s more of a candy taste than a complex perry that’s been brewed in small quantities. It’s fairly medium bodied and has a decent fizz to it. Festival goers will love this one - as will most who like a perry, I just prefer the drier ones than the sweet. 3/5 stars.

I am partial to the odd sweet cider however this is far far to sweet for me. I personally found this cider the kind of sweet that makes your teeth hurt even thinking about it. It's a shame it is so sweet to be honest as the actual flavour of the fruit itself is nice, could just do without being coated in sugar.

Very pale, almost colourless perry, with an aroma reminiscent of pear drops. Sweet, but not overpoweringly so. Strong flavour of fresh pears, but little else, though there is a slight bitterness in the aftertaste.

This isn't bad tasting, quite good if you like sweet. There is the obvious taste of pear, but it is in the sweeter side. I generally prefer sweeter things, but personally it's too sweet for me.
