The pour is a still dark apricot. The aroma is apple with phenolic notes. The taste is a semi-sweet apple with some tartness. The mouthfeel is heavy. The finish is long and astringent. It’s a true pommeau in that it is juice and calvados versus cider and calvados, which I think gives it some more residual sugar. I still enjoyed it.
