Some fruit ciders just have hints of flavoring. That isn't the case here. This is most definitely a cranberry cider. If you have doubts about your fondness for cranberry, this may not be the cider for you.
According to Sociable Cider Werks description, they use "fresh cranberries that
are both bitter and pucker-your-mouth-tart. We balance out that bright acidity by adding some freshly pressed apple juice to finish the process."
I didn't find the tartness to be quite as intense as that, but it's still pretty tart. The backsweetening with apple juice takes some of the edge off, but it's still a semi-dry cider. The sweetening is pretty modest.
The flavor is a bit too intense to want more than one in an evening, but would drink this again.
