Not usually a fan of so called dark fruits ciders, but this is definitely an exception. Thistly Cross of Scotland have definitely come up with a winner with their 'Scottish Fruits' drink. Wonderful apple and berry aroma and taste, and just sweet enough so as not to be overpowering or unpleasant. Some dark fruit ciders can quickly become a bit sickly, but this is just about the perfect blend. Very highly recommended 😃

Thistly Cross Scottish Fruits (4.0% ABV, 500ml). Strawberries, elderflowers and blackcurrants are added to an apple cider to create this blend. Clear reddish brown colour. All three added fruit flavours are immediately obvious in the aroma, particularly black currants and elderflowers. Apples in the background. Medium body, mild carbonation. On the palate, strawberries hit you first, followed by dominant black currant, plus elderflower. Sweet and sour fruity finish of black currants, lemon, and finally some apples in the aftertaste. Elsewhere, the apples are barely there. Unfortunately they don't give us which flavour/fruit was added at which percentage. If you like alternative-fruits ciders, this one is pretty good. 7/10.
