My first cider from a group who I believe is out of the Hudson valley. This is a very dry cider, and unfiltered for those who like a lot of funk in their cider. In my opinion this is how a cider should taste and feel. Strong hints of apples picked from the ground as soon as they’ve fallen from the orchard with a dash of vinegar. First taste is like biting into a crab apple, the kind where your tongue kind of goes numb and your mouth puckers a bit. Very bitter with a bit of astringency. Definitely looking forward to trying more of Homestead’s ciders in the future. This is a great cider for fans of the weird and funky in the world of cider.
