Lots of aroma here - especially if you like farmyards and manure(!) - but for a sweet cider it’s heavy and packs a punch. It’s pretty much still and is very deep with caramel flavours and brown sugar. The taste is heavy at first but mellows rapidly and leaves a medium length that thins out with a well-rounded and fulfilling sweetness. I’m not normally a big fan of sweet ciders but this one is on the medium-dry side of the sweetness spectrum. It’s bronze in colour with nothing else on show. This would taste better with ice I think rather than just being fridge-chilled. All in all, it’s one of the best sweet ciders I’ve ever tasted but might be too heavy for most in terms of body. It packs a punch, leaves its mark and shows that sweet ciders can be complex and fulfilling. At 6.3%ABV this will hardly appeal to the ‘music festival’ market of Inch’s and Kingston Press fans but in juxtoposition will serve the ‘cider festival’ and discerning fan of craft ciders who may strive to find a stockist of this cider. I found my bottle at the ‘Three Counties Farmshop’ in Worcester (formally Gwillams Farmshop until Spring 2023). 4/5. Very nice. Would drink again - even if it just one bottle by itself.

Light amber coloured, very lightly sparkling and clear. Ripe apple aroma. Strong apple flavour. Rich and heading towards a dessert cider flavour.

Here we have a fantastic, full of character sweet cider from Pershore press. At 6.3% this has the intensity of a full-bodied vintage cider but actually it presents itself as a well-rounded complex cider, more so on the medium side of sweet for me. It's green apple tang gives it a real freshness and a long finish which I find very enjoyable. A great cider and would definitely recommend.
