Templar's Choice 2016 Brut

Comes in a 750ml champagne bottle. Copper coloured, with a metallic aroma, overlying charcoal. Flat flavours, of a mineral and metallic nature, combine with bitter fruit and herbal tones, before developing charred wood in the finish. Unusual, and undeniably complex, flavours, combine for a dry, hard-edged cider, but one lacking in depth and character. Drinkable, but unrewarding. I'm sure that this will appeal to someone, but that someone wasn't me.
