Comes in a 750 ml flip-top bottle. Light, copper colour, with a strong, pungent aroma of fermenting apple and farmyard funk. The flavour is sharp and astringent, with heavy tannins, and a strong funk finish. Traditional, old-school, West Country cider, produced in tribute to the horses and ponies who served in WW1, including Sampford's own pony, Olive, and is intended to be as close as possible to the cider made at that time. Challenging, and will not to be the taste of many, but a rewarding cider for those who enjoy this older style.
