Blackbeard

Rich copper colour, with a woody aroma, and a little underlying straw and funk. The dominant flavour is of the rich, tannic cider; the blackcurrant merely softens the tannins, and adds a little sweetness, with its flavour only strengthening slightly in the finish. Not at all like so many fruited ciders; the blackcurrant complements the cider, enhancing complexity, not overwhelms it. Very enjoyable and eminently sessionable.
