Burgoyne's Spiced

Comes in a 750 ml screw-top bottle, with a sachet of cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Unlike all the other mulled ciders I have tasted, this you steep yourself, giving a fresher flavour, to the intensity you desire. Pale golden before steeping, but darker, richer golden afterwards. The aroma before steeping is light and fruity, becoming spicy, with cinnamon and cloves to the fore, and with a slight earthy funk. Rich, spicy flavour, though with a slightly bitter edge. Cloves dominant, with nutmeg and cinnamon in the background. One of the better mulled ciders I've had, helped by the freshness of the steeping. A real fireside warmer, which would be cracking with a rich fruit cake.
