750ml green glass; pours a golden medium straw, generous carbonation, delicate beading, white mousse; on the nose cooked fruit and jammy apple character, hints of cinnamon, wet orchard floor, baked apple pie and hints of clean funk - old leather; on the palate fresh and juicy, reminding of apple jam, baked apple skins, grippy tannins balanced well with just the right amount of residual sugar, astringent bitterness give this a hefty texture; full bodied, delicate yet bold carbonation, medium finish, lingering tannic aftertaste

Comes in a 750 ml champagne bottle, with moderate sediment. Slightly hazy, copper colour, with an aroma combining a little fruit with meadow grasses and fresh walnuts. Delicate, slightly floral, fruit flavour, with a little caramel in the aftertaste. A little underwhelming and watery; I was expecting a more keeved flavour from this. Still, drinkable and not unpleasant, and the caramel would suit this to an afternoon drink with cakes.
