Orange/yellow in colour. Heavy sediment (you can see one particle in the photo). Any carbonation lasted for 2 minutes then it was gone.
Not a great deal on the nose, slight funk.
Very smooth verging on watery to start with. However, all the flavours burst on your taste buds midway through, with nice mildly acidic and stronger tanic hits with a dash of bitterness towards the end. The further down the pint you travel, the greater the tastes accumulate. This cider is all about the delightful tannic hits which just get stronger and stronger, the bitterness starts to get followed by a sourness while ending the pint, giving me hints of grapefruit.
Although the bottle states sugar has been added, it is not over sweet keeping the nice rounded flavour of the apple variety.
Although the cider isn't mind blowing as this apple variety is used extensively with many blended ciders the accumulation factor has kepted me on my toes while writing it.
