Pomme Sur Lie

Clear golden color. Still. Moderate to strong oak aroma with a hint of apple. Light to medium bodied. Somewhat spice driven flavor with noticeable tannins, a lot of oak, a hint of funk and a nice apple flavor. Complex and well made.

Enjoyed dinner with four and we all loved it dry and still.

Advertised as still and dry and it definitely lives up to both! No residual sugars are left, according to the bottle, making this indeed "bone dry." But what I like is how the apple overcomes the dryness, leaving just enough fruit taste to balance the bite from the dryness. This is not my #1 style choice, but for what it is, it is definitely top of the line! Three very excellent bottles from South Hill and Cidrbox. And with that, my cellar is emptied! It's a good thing I have a new box on the way!
