Dark golden color with light carbonation. Light bodied and strong fruit flavor. Despite that, the apple flavor does not outcome synthetic and gives a pretty natural tone. One of the sweetest cider I had so far which is good for me. For others, who like more the dry section be careful. But definitely a great one for sweet lovers.

Val de Rance Cru Breton Cidre Doux (2% ABV, 750ml). The Val de Rance Bio-Cidre is one of my firm favourites, so naturally I want to try all their ciders that I can get hold of. The "Doux" is their sweetest cider of the organic range. Clear bright golden colour, small white head. Sweet aroma of ripe yellow apples, some acidity, light vanilla. Medium body, despite the low ABV, and moderate to lively carbonation. On the palate, sweet, sugary overripe yellow apples, wee musty, then a healthy dose of vinegar, some apple skins and a hint of farmyard funk. Sour sweet finish, with a final acid kick before the mildly sweet, yeasty apple aftertaste and hints of lemon. Another fine Val de Rance cider, just below the Bio-Cidre. 8/10
