Made with local apples from the Carse of Gowrie in Perthshire, including local rareties such as "Lass o Gowrie" and "The Bloody Ploughman". The aroma is herbal and floral, and this is a very gassy cider; it comes in a 750 ml champagne bottle, with a champagne cork. It reminds me of the "Pomagne", produced by Bulmers, which was popular in the UK in the 70s and early 80s, but with a much richer flavour. The flavour is a robust apple, with the sharp tartness of the skin to the fore, and a citrus edge. Pleasant to drink, and would have given it 4 stars, were it not for the gasiness.
