Dark gold, still and a bit of haziness. Earthy aroma. Slightly tart at the start bit finishes with slightly bitter caramel and straw. Smooth and easy.

First time I've come across Ampleforth in a pub, clearly I live in the wrong city. I do have a soft spot for them, some years ago tried three of them at beer festivals, all very fruity and easy drinking, scoring top marks, as does this.

This cider is made from 40 different types of apple in North Yorshire, UK. It has been one of my favorite English apple ciders so far. The rich apple flavor comes through with a mild sweetness. It has a light carbonation and low bitterness. Nice cider for hanging out with friends at the pub. Not too sweet and not bitter.

Mid-amber in colour, and a herbal aroma overlying apple skin. The flavour is of slightly sour apples, with some straw and woodiness in the aftertaste. Quite a refreshing cider with some complexity. Goes well with a blue cheese.
