Rich, golden colour, with a light apple skin aroma.
Mellow fruit flavour, with a slightly oily mouth feel. The aftertaste becomes drier, and lightly tannic, with some biscuit, and with an alcohol edge in the finish.
This would be very much more drinkable if the finish didn't slightly spoil the flavour profile. That oiliness and slight alcohol burn detract from an otherwise mellow and delicately-flavoured product, which would have had 4 stars from me otherwise.
