Blow Horn

'Blow horn' is a spiced up cider with a Indian themed chai flavour. A previous review of this mentioned that it reminds them of a mulled cider and I have to agree, its lasting impressions of cinnamon, cardamon and cloves give this a spiced flavour, it does has a slight ripe apple undertone with an astringent finish. It's quite heavily carbonated which leaves that fizzy feel in the mouth. I'm going to have to say this is just not for me and I wouldn't have this again but I'm sure it would appeal to others.

A gentle spicy taste. Not what I would usually go for but nice for a change.

Well, this is different! My first ever Chai cider (are there many?). Both aroma and flavour are reminiscent of a mulled-cider, with cardamon, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and star anise all well-balanced with the underlying apple. This is moreish! This evokes snowy nights and a log fire, with Xmas around the corner. I would not drink this every night, but this will be on my winter menu, for sure! Can't wait to try this with a mince pie, or two ...
