First Press Original Medium

What a refreshing nose this cider has - very floral, but really sharp and clear. There’s also a really nice mixture of earthiness with a strong citrus hint. Tasting this cider - it’s certainly different. It’s very tart and very nice! The aftertaste has a real citrus kick - and it makes it really pleasing. On the palate it has a pretty good length - and like it’s label, ‘Medium’ it’s also medium length. It’s also medium bodied. At 4%ABV this isn’t going to blow your head off - and isn’t as strong as the Vintage version. But it’s a great effort and even at 4% delivers enough punch and flavour to leave a lasting mark.

Good stuff. Only 4% but it catches up with you after a gallon!

This medium cider is a glorious offering from the Taunton Cider Company. It carries itself with a certain green apple freshness that's sharp, which really stimulates the taste buds and finishes with a long citrus tone. It's gentley carbonated with a soft astringency on the palate, A delightful, easy to drink cider.

Golden colour, lightly sparkling and clear. Farmyard aroma. Leather and straw in the flavour. Tannins in the finish.

Bag in a Box at William Stead Darlington JDW 2017 cider fest. Golden colour, no head and aroma of apple, barnyard. Taste is tangy apple, some apple skin, fruity with leathery funk, some straw, woody, drying tannins. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

Light golden colour, with a fruity aroma, carrying a hint of spice. Crisp apple flavour, with a tannic aftertaste. Unremarkable, but very drinkable West Country cider, with a clean taste, but little complexity.
