Not much under the nose - a hint of honey, orange skin, spice and old leather and earthy, apple pulp.
The taste has a bit more going for it but I agree with Judge’s review that it doesn’t seem to have as much flavour as previous years - and a tad watery.
The colour remains the same - bronze and elegant. There’s a bit of light fizz, enough to lift this cider and at 8.2%ABV it packs a punch - but, remarkably, you won’t taste it! You could get hammered on this stuff incredibly easily. It’s a very nice, easy drinking cider.
The taste is medium dry, sharp but mellow and has a bit of a bitter aftertaste, but it’s nothing off-putting. There are hints of honey and oak and it’s pretty well rounded and medium to full bodied with plenty of apple kick.
It’s one is Weston’s nicest and best efforts but this year is just slightly lacking on previous years.
