Made from windfall apples from a selection of varieties, including less usual ones like Cornish Longstem and Tommy Knight.
Reddish-bronze, with a pungent aroma, reminiscent of dying rose blooms; floral, but with a hint of rot.
Sharp, tannic, overripe fruit, developing bitterness and wood in the aftertaste, and a plum finish.
Individual and interesting, but not wholly successful. The ripe fruitiness and the tannins seem to be working against one another, without balance.
