Dark but clear amber. Light carbonation. Smells of oaky tannins, with a tiny hint of funk. Initial sweet fruit flavours but quicky over shadowed by tannin tastes, which has a bitter edge. Bought at Cornish Orchards farm shop.

Made from windfall apples from a selection of varieties, including less usual ones like Cornish Longstem and Tommy Knight. Reddish-bronze, with a pungent aroma, reminiscent of dying rose blooms; floral, but with a hint of rot. Sharp, tannic, overripe fruit, developing bitterness and wood in the aftertaste, and a plum finish. Individual and interesting, but not wholly successful. The ripe fruitiness and the tannins seem to be working against one another, without balance.

Bronze colour, clear with moderate fizz and a heavy pour. Light aroma of pomace. Ripe apple flavour. It’s ok but struggling to find much to say or get excited about. A little too fizzy.
